Trade & Working-Capital Finance by Country
The financing that verifiable documents and identity can unlock by cutting the information-asymmetry, fraud, and collateral barriers behind the trade-finance gap (lever ④). The Total Finance Gap is the addressable pool; the Digital Addressable column is the share reachable by digital mechanisms.
Canonical published output — generated from research/finance-access/. Gaps from
ADB (trade finance) and IFC–World Bank (MSME / asset finance); the addressable
share decomposes the gap into the digital mechanisms that close it.
UNVTD/GRID scope. Of the digital addressable share, the UNVTD/GRID-specific mechanisms are digital identity (≈27%) + verifiable documents (≈9%) + asset collateral (≈22%) ≈ 58% of the gap. The small verifiable-ESG slice is UNTP territory and excluded by lever ④, so the Digital Addressable column below (which includes ESG) is the upper bound. Per-mechanism columns are in
research/.

How this feeds the business cases
- Lever ④ (Bank / Trade finance) — the Total Finance Gap is the per-country pool; the methodology applies the data-derived 58% UNVTD/GRID-addressable share and the adoption ramp, and reports finance enabled separately from economic benefit. See the Assessment Methodology.
- Trade volume (exports + imports) is the driver; see the trade-data table.
